If a player gains experience in two skills simultaneously and the player is wearing XP-boosting gear for both skills (such as burning wood with the inferno adze while wearing flame gloves/ring and lumberjack clothing), the XP pop-up will not show the amount of bonus XP but instead will just show the total experience earned.Journey into the Sixth Age of Gielinor and discover a fantasy world deep with legend and lore.The XP pop-ups can be toggled in the interface settings. If the pop-up is clicked on it will take the player to the Skill Advance Guide, which helps the player track milestones and allows many sorting/filtering options. Additionally, if one wants to check how much exp is left before levelling up, the player can simply hover over the globe rather than navigating to the skills panel. This way, the player is told when a new level is reached, but their character doesn't stop working (if Fletching or Smithing, for example), unlike with the dialogue boxes that were used before. If virtual levelling is enabled, this also happens when a virtual level is gained. On gaining a level, the icon alerts the player with fireworks and displays any new unlocked milestones. XP drops still appear as XP is gained in that skill however. If a player has no target set in a skill and has reached the highest level in that skill (or the highest virtual level, if virtual levelling is enabled), the pop-up orb does not appear at all. If no skill target is set, the pop-up instead tracks the player's progress to their next level, or their next Virtual level if virtual levelling is enabled. A loader that encircles the skill icon will proceed to load based on remaining xp until the player's skill target, if one is set. XP rises from the player and into the pop-up, displaying the type of XP gained through the skill's respective icon. Once the player begins to train a skill the pop-up will be displayed in the top-middle of the game screen. XP pop-ups are an interface element released on 12 April 2010.
